More

Day 12: I went and dyed my hair. Permanently. I'm starting to like it, I guess. It just takes a while to get used to. but we'll see what happens.

Day 13: Today I agreed to a whole mess of 'Proma' (Prom + Drama). My friend was originally going to prom with a mutual friend of ours, we'll call him guy A. She sort of said yes to him out of pity, if you will. She was talking about how she really wanted to go with guy B, the one I like sort of like as well. But, me being the person I am (and for this assignment) I told her I would switch. So now, she's going to prom with guy B and I'll be going with guy A. It doesn't sound like such a big deal, and I guess it isn't. Guy A wasn't exactly my first choice if I had one, but we'll see how it goes.

Day 14: My younger sister is in the drama club play at her middle school. My mom is in charge of creating the sets and props for the show. She asked me to help her, and I agreed. I've been going in everyday after school to help and I've really been enjoying it. I've been talking to the moms that are helping as well and I've learned a lot from them, about college, careers and life in general. (Plus these hours can go in as service hours!)

Day 15: I actually helped guy B ask my friend to prom. He actually picked her flowers and made a banner and brought it to her lacrosse game. Normally (especially under the present circumstance) I wouldn't have agreed. But I did, and I'm glad. We had a lot of time to talk and just get to know eachother better. (and I got to watch my first lacrosse game!)

Day 16: Although I've found things to write about, I haven't been keeping up with it as I should. I've also been faced with many situations that I haven't said yes to. Such as two boys asking me to prom, people asking to hang out, or even a big opportunity to visit a new country over the summer (still thinking about it!) I guess I just don't have the will power to step outside my comfort zone? But I'll keep trying, and trying to keep up with it.

Days 9, 10 & 11.

Maybe I'm just missing things people ask me to do. I've hardly had anything to say yes to! I did end up making $100 for that babysitting job last week. It was well worth it! I sort of wish I hadn't agreed to dying my hair for this movie. We were supposed to have it finished over the weekend, but now it's taking longer than we had hoped. So, I have to come to school this week with brown hair. Awesome. On Saturday, my dad asked me if I wanted to go to the Dollar Store with my sister and him. At first I said no, then I realized I had to say yes. We ended up going and he took my car (He filled it with gas afterwards :P) So I had fun, enjoyed the weather, and got a free tank of gas :) We ended up not going to the barn yesterday, but instead I played soccer with some neighborhood kids. I also took on another babysitting job for March 20th!

Days 6, 7 & 8.

This isn't going as well as I had hoped. No one has been asking me to do anything lately! Either that, or I'm just forgetting to say yes. The babysitting job went very well and I had a lot of fun. I' glad I did that. My friends invited me to go to this abandoned barn after church on Sunday. I'd normally not agree, but I'm going and it should be interesting! They say it's really cool. The only other thing I've really said yes to is certain people talking to me. That sounds really conceited or mean, but I think everyone can name a few people they try to avoid talking to. I've been talking to 4 people I normally wouldn't. 3 of them, I've learned a lot from and I'm glad we're talking. The other one, well she's different. Now that I started talking to her, she's constantly texting, emailing and calling me. I don't really know what to do. I don't want to be mean to her, but at the same time, ignoring her isn't too kind either.

I guess I'll just see where this goes. I hope more people start asking me things! :)

Day 5

Today, my mom asked me if I wanted a babysitting job. It's really out of my comfort zone, as the dad is going out of town for three days. I have to spend the night at their house watching the kids Wednesday night and Thursday night! Although I'm sort of nervous, I know it'll be worth it when I make a lot of money!

Day 4

I teach a small group of first graders at church. Today, my co-leader was sick and couldn't make it. Another group leader asked if I could watch her kids, as she wouldn't be there. I probably normally wouldn't have agreed to take her kids, especially as my co-leader wasn't there. But, I told her I would watch her kids as well. It ended up not being bad at all! My friend helped with some of the kids and it was actually fun. I'm glad I took on the responsibility :)

Day 3

Yesterday was Day 3. (I was busy and too tired to post yesterday) I ended up dying my hair! It's only semipermanent, so I'm not too worried about it. I ended up giving my friend I ride home from school, when I didn't really want to. But it worked out because I finally had time to talk with her.
<-- Not many pictures were taken, but this is what it looks like!

Day 2

Today I said yes to something I probably shouldn't have.. It's a lot of responsibility. My friend plays with the most advanced band in our school; Wind Ensemble. I play with the lowest band. We're all going up to New York to perform in Carnegie Hall. My friend can't make it, so he asked me to play his parts for him. I agreed, and now I have a lot of music to learn!

Day 1

Today I started my 30 Days Project. For 30 days I have to say 'yes' to things I normally wouldn't. I think it'll be interesting to see what I miss out on. Not much happened today, I wasn't really asked much. My friends are making a movie and asked me to be in it. Today I agreed to dye my hair brown for the part I'm playing! We'll see if they mean it or not..
